Safety-Eyes

SAFETY-EYES

The safety eyes are the sensors that are located at the bottom of the Garage Door on each side (appx. 6 inches above the floor). They have been mandatory since the early ‘90s, but if you have an older Garage Door Opener there is a chance it will not have them. Safety Eyes are responsible for stopping the downward travel of the door. If the beam (generated between the eyes) is broken it will send the Garage Door back to the top, this is a protection should a small child or pet try to go out while the Garage Door is coming down, this safe guard is quite important. Give Lake Woodlands Garage Door a call, we will always make sure your Garage Door is running safe and sound.

“Outstanding! I needed quick help to repair my 15 year old garage door as my car was stuck inside. My husband and I could not open it. Jon came promptly the next day and replaced the broken springs within an hour. He checked the entire system and did not try to upsell anything extra. And that was very appreciated. Very courteous and we could tell that he knew what he was doing! We will highly recommend Lake Woodlands Garage Door to all our friends and family. Repair price was so reasonable and lower than we expected.”
